We have frozen all child care payments to the state of Minnesota.
You have probably read the serious allegations that the state of Minnesota has funneled millions of taxpayer dollars to fraudulent daycares across Minnesota over the past decade.
Today we have taken three actions against the blatant fraud that appears to be rampant in Minnesota and across the country:
1. I have activated our defend the spend system for all ACF payments. Starting today, all ACF payments across America will require a justification and a receipt or photo evidence before we send money to a state.
2. Alex Adams and I have identified the individuals in @nickshirleyy's excellent work. I have demanded from @GovTimWalz a comprehensive audit of these centers. This includes attendance records, licenses, complaints, investigations, and inspections.
3. We have launched a dedicated fraud-reporting hotline and email address at childcare.gov Whether you are a parent, provider, or member of the general public, we want to hear from you.
We have turned off the money spigot and we are finding the fraud. @ACFHHS @HHSGov

Frozen or not, some judge will thaw them.
Good, since they are not being used for children.
Charge the judges with accessory and conspiracy.
Not when there’s a SCOTUS who’ll overturn crazy district judges quick.
It's not a wedge-word...it's a slush fund.
Any judge that starts the process “lawfare crap”
should get a few thousand pizza deliveries an hour.
Gladly.
Not good enough. They’re already denying the fraud and there will always be corrupt people who will sign the receipts and manufacture the evidence from the past so that the spigot still pours out our tax dollars. I wouldn’t trust their attendance records anymore than I would their election security.
I want people from outside MN showing up looking for proof. If they check the survelliance cameras in the area and look over all the videos that are starting to emerge then, and only then, do I want spigots to slowly leak with a camera sitting on them to make sure the leak is real for that particular money sink.
Follow the money meticulously. You may be surprised at how quiet the judges become. The Somalis are only the agents of our overall fatigue. The rot is much bigger and encompassing than just them. The facts and money are going to take down an awful lot of bureaucrats and politicians. No sense highlighting your exposure. Best to be quiet as a mouse in the courthouse.
WHY ARE WE PAYING FOR OTHER PEOPLE’S KIDS CARE???? NO MORE!
Nope.
70 have been convicted already.
You can't deny fraud when you keep getting convicted and jailed with more convictions to come.
Minnesota daycares receive significant federal funding, primarily through the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF), which helps low-income families, but the state is currently under intense scrutiny due to massive fraud allegations (involving misuse of millions in federal funds for luxury items), leading the federal government to freeze payments until the issue is resolved.
How Federal Funds Work for MN Daycares:
Primary Source: The main federal funding stream is the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF).
State Administration: States, including Minnesota, manage these funds to provide subsidies for parents and support quality care.
Targeted Support: Funds help working families with low incomes afford childcare, with programs like the Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP) also using these resources.
Current Situation (Late 2025):
Fraud Allegations: Viral videos and investigations revealed widespread fraud, with centers allegedly collecting millions in federal funds for fake children and spending it on personal luxuries.
Federal Freeze: In response, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) froze all federal childcare payments to Minnesota, halting about $185 million in annual funding.
State Response: Minnesota’s Governor is working with federal partners to stop the fraud, but investigations are ongoing, with an audit expected soon to determine the full scope of the problem.
In essence, federal money does fund Minnesota daycares, but a massive fraud scheme has temporarily cut off that funding stream.
The government should not be funding childcare anyway. What a notion.
Turned off the money spigot? How about clawing back the $8 BILLION from this scam? Someone needs to pay it back. No more slap on the wrist and the criminals get away with the grift.
We need an army of mildly autistic OCD certified public accountants to examine EVERY State’s welfare systems.
Why can’t Trump get another few months of Doge in 2026 to go after the grift again?
Democrats use that 'for the children' crap to feed the coffers of all their 'victim groups'. You are so right on this issie.
They have been doing that a long time.
Minnesota, land of 10,000 frauds.
