The coach actually called the Sheriff and asked him to drop the charges against these thieves. Sheriff Judd from Polk County is awesome.

"Judd directed sharp criticized the team’s coach, who allegedly attempted to convince deputies not to make the arrests. “I don’t know how you do things in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, but in Polk County, Florida, we lock you up for stealing, for being a thief,” Judd stated.

The sheriff said the coach was “way off base,” calling him the “ultimate loser” for failing to supervise the young men.

“You didn’t see eight kids from Polk County in a store this weekend stealing, did you? And there’s 850,000 people in this county,” Judd said."
