Trump Tells Laura Ingraham the U.S. Lacks ‘Talented People’ in Discussion on H1-B Visas
mediate ^ | November 11, 2025 | Zachary Leeman

During the interview, Ingraham pressed the president on H-1B foreign visas, arguing the president could not fulfill his promise of revitalizing the manufacturing economy in the United States by bringing in foreign workers.

“I mean, the H-1B visa thing will not be a big priority for your administration, because if you want to raise wages for American workers, you can’t flood the country with tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of foreign workers,” Ingraham told the president.

“Well, I agree, but you also do have to bring in talent when a country,” Trump pushed back.

“Well, we have plenty of talented people here,” Ingraham countered.

“No, you don’t,” Trump declared.

And it spirals further:

“We don’t have talented people here?” Ingraham asked.

“No, you don’t have certain talents and people have to learn,” Trump said. “You can’t take people off an unemployment line and say, I’m going to put you into a factory where we’re going to make missiles.”

“How did we ever do it before?” Ingraham pressed further.

He’s actually right.

Anyone running a business that needs accountants/CPAs will agree. Any availabke are trash.

We are forced to farm work out to the Philipines, India and elsewhere. Not because it’s cheaper, but because it’s the only option. We’d pay more for Americans, they don’t exist.

Different time, different war, different weaponry. Today's weapons are much more sophisticated.

Also building and developing property. If you need electricians, plumbers etc., you wait weeks, then everyone wants $1,000 per day just to show up.

I’m installing wells and irrigation MYSELF. I don’t like it or want to, but I can’t wait, and the costs are insane.

As a tech business owner, I have to agree with the President. I appreciate the smart immigrants, particularly from India. I just wish we could export one low IQ government leech for every H1B we bring in.

The CBS one went so much better. Weird how the Fox one is actually pushing him really hard.

He’s never been good on H1B.

I know Trump doesn’t mean to, but he’s insulting the American worker.

In 1938 my mother was working on a farm. In 1943 she was wiring electronics for the B-25 bomber. I know it was a different time, with different equipment. But it could be done then with American workers. And it could be done now.

Make America Great Again. With Americans.

A lot of yappy FReepers here don’t, and/or perhaps never have, run a business.

I hate the idea of not being able to hire local, nevermind having to resort to international. Also being forced to do things yourself that you thought you could give up years ago by paying someone else.

We’re forced - it’s not even a money issue. It’s necessity. America doesn’t *want to work anymore.

We’d pay more for Americans, they don’t exist.

BS. We have tons of US-born STEM degree graduates who can't find jobs.

Like myself, for the past year.

Like my cousin's husband, for the past 8 months.

And every person who gives me a technical interview? An Indian immigrant. I can tell they weren't born in the US by the accent.

Screw Donald J. Trump.

And the reason they don't exist is because employers farm them out elsewhere so they can pay third world wages. Talented Americans aren't going into those fields because they know the jobs will pay nothing. It's a circle jerk, you can't find them because you're paying nothing. If someone wants to hire a foreigner then it should cost them...a lot.
