A 100-year-old veteran shocked the hosts of Good Morning Britain today by declaring that winning World War II 'wasn't worth it' due to the state of the UK.
Alec Penstone told Adil Ray and Kate Garraway how he quit his factory job to sign up for the Royal Navy and fight for his country as soon as he came of age.
The war hero recalled serving alongside close friends, many of whom lost their lives, and called himself 'just a lucky one' for having survived.

There would be a lot fewer commies in the world. On the other hand, Germany would probably be the sole atomic power and would eventually attack the US anyway, and with a much better chance of winning.
WWI on the other hand...had we stayed out of it, the world would be a much better place.
At the end of the war they dumped Winston Churchill and elected Clement Attlee
Clement Attlee was the one who introduced the British trade union dominated welfare state and he was the one who established the UK National Health Services

......agree..! my father, my father-in-law, four uncles, even an aunt who served in the WAVES, did their part during the Second World War, and for what....? they are all rolling over in their graves right now, seeing how far this country has fallen since then....no telling how fast they are rolling now that the communist Mamdami is now the mayor-elect of Noo Yawk City....
