Axios ^ | November 5, 2025 | Jeffrey Cane

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has sounded his loudest alarm to date about the U.S. falling behind to China on AI, telling the Financial Times that "China is going to win the AI race."

The trillion-dollar bet on AI's success, pushed by the Trump administration, hinges in large part on Nvidia, the dominant maker of chips for AI computing.

Sure, just like their robots are way ahead of Boston Dynamics and other American companies. Just more ChiCom BS propaganda. China can’t even pay their workers much less innovate, something they have never done. Everything they have are poorly made copies of American and European products.

This is what is known as “talking your own book”.

Last week he wanted to sell his top end chips to China, now he’s warning they will beat us without them.

He needs to tell us what "winning" looks like.

If it means being able the build a better electronic prison, I think I'll pass.

AI policing in streets and stores will need cheap chips, otherwise they’ll be stolen.

AI weeders, pickers and mowers will need cheap chips.

AI weapons will be a smaller market, and those chips should be suitable for military use.

It’s very important to hit and own the chip price/power sweet spot.

My gut tells me China is WAY ahead of the U.S. in AI and always has been.

It's EASY for them to be ahead. As soon as we INVENT or INNOVATE, China STEALS it then ADVANCES it. Think of all the R&D money they save having HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of SPIES embedded in Universities and tech industries all throughout the United States. Are we STUPID? On this particular NATIONAL SECURITY THREAT, YES WE ARE.

The dude has like a super-vested interest in stirring the fear of falling behind.

Whether it’s true or not.

And this entire “AI Industry” needs to start generating some real profits and bring real value to the market.

Right now all the players are just buying from each other...but they’re not really selling anything “AI” of significance to the economy as a whole.

All the money is coming from their core businesses...then going into AI infrastructure and software.

But so far they do not appear to be selling much to anybody else.

When the music stops there’s going to be a shortage of chairs.

The US is betting the farm on ultra large closed source models while the chinese are turning out smaller open source models that others can use with their own fine tuning.

Developers are going to innovate using stuff they can get their hands on and can be run on in house hardware. Nobody wants to trust their business to somebody that can change the terms at their whim.

I'm just glad that people who will loot a Target store willy nilly wouldn't loot an AI data center when they realized the street value of all those AI cards.

“Last week he wanted to sell his top end chips to China, now he’s warning they will beat us without them.”

China decided they didn’t like being held back ,technologically, by NVIDIA and the US. So they decided to force and evolution on their own chip makers. I wouldn’t be quick to dismiss how advanced China has become.

Asians have a higher IQ on average than Caucs, and the chicoms produce millions more engineers than we do.

So, yes, from that much larger pool of talent there are going to be geniuses who will eventually top NVIDIA's achievements.

“Asians have a higher IQ on average than Caucs, and the chicoms produce millions more engineers than we do. “

I don’t think they have a higher IQ or rather it’s not a native trait but what they do have is an ethic to take their education seriously.
