This article predated the election yesterday, but the article was spot-on with his analysis. The young, upwardly mobile professionals who are living beyond their means elected Mamdani. Not illegals. Not Muslims. But those who cannot afford the lifestyles that their parents have or had. I wonder if it will take a year before they realize that their world cannot be financed by Government.

Liberty is the founding principle of the American Republic.

Liberty is how America grew and prospered.

Without liberty, there will be only decline.

Good point. And I wonder how many of the "young, upwardly mobile professionals who are living beyond their means" are first generation New Yorkers? If they migrated from out of state to New York in hopes of bigger pay but didn't factor in the higher cost of living, they make be looking for someone to save them from their lack of preparation.

Big decisions without preparation leads to increased use in Preparation H.

“I wonder if it will take a year before they realize that their world cannot be financed by Government.”

A wise former corporate director told me, “If something is horrible, don’t work around it. Force everyone to live to the letter of it. It will be changed quickly.” So, they don’t like the unaffordability of everything. Look no further than government policies and regulation. Those are the causes. High taxes, high fees and fines. Look for all of those to go WAY up. Every regulation ads a silent tax on time, cost or effort. Those yuppies are going to get buried in the very thing they hate.

It will be changed quickly.

Because they expect freebies, and just watch what happens when they dont get it..its NOT going to be pretty because all the freebies they are being promised is total BS, they wont get ANYTHING..and as far as Jews voting for him, those are the same kinds of Jews that would hand Israel over to Hamas TODAY if they could

No, they don't.

They love the idea of ZM socialism.

When the S hits the F, they won't like it so much.

You heard it here first.

Because they weren't taught economics in all their years of schooling nor were they taught how Socialism works.

Here's a crash course:

Nothing is free. Socialism makes everything more expensive. Education, for instance. It may be ""free" in the sense that the parents don't get a bill, but they pay through the nose with their taxes. That allows schools to pay exorbitant salaries, benefits and pension packages.

Same is true with rent control. Tenants' rent may "freeze" but that will allow landlords to raise rents because taxpayers will make up the difference.

Same with ""free" busing and childcare. Those industries will raise their rates knowing full well that taxpayers will pay the freight. <>

One of the strangest spectacles in modern American politics.
<><>high-flying professionals of NY’s white-collar class
<><>marching behind an avowed socialist, Zohran Mamdani.
<><>lawyers, traders, and tech specialists who embodied the American dream.
<><>His campaign thrives not in the boroughs where poverty festers
<><>but in luxury neighborhoods like Park Slope and Williamsburg,
<><> median household incomes there exceed $200,000
<><>a Jew hater, he’s captured 47% of the overall Jewish vote,
<><>before the election, Mamdani held a staggering 25-point lead over Cuomo.

One of my favorite authors called it “TANSTAAFL.” That is why I think that once they learn that the city won’t pay for everything and everything costs twice as much (even if available), then they will blame him (or more likely Trump). I toured east Berlin before the Wall came down, and I was astonished to see a “shoe” store with perhaps 2 dozen pairs of shoes for sale, and a line that stretched around the block. One local told me that he had to pay for his car in advance (a sh*tty Russian car), and it took seven years to get it. No, there is no such thing as a free lunch. You get what you pay for.

NYC will be bankrupt in two years.

It's already bankrupt. The states are in debt to the tune of $100 trillion. The federal government is in debt to the tune of $38 trillion.
