At least any sense of complacency on the part of Trump and the GOP should be gone. But unfortunately, I don’t see the GOP doing anything different than they’ve always done.

Right now if Elise Stephanik runs for NYS Governor with the state and county GOP committee's in a shambles she would lose by well over 10 points, maybe 15+.
