Explosion and resulting fire, possibly the result of a crash involving a cargo plane with UPS Airlines, near Muhammad Ali International Airport in Louisville, Kentucky
It’s Louisville Kentucky.
People were making fun of a video because the people recording were speaking Spanish.
Not funny under the circumstances.

People near the airport reported finding Hawaiian style dresses near the site of the crash that appear to have come from the plane.
Yeah it looks like point of impact was very near Grade and Knopp at Embry Auto Parts junk yard and into River Metals Recycling Center and beyond. What a mess.

My niece’s husband speaks perfect English, but if a plane crashed in front of him, I’m sure he would be shouting in his native Spanish …
That’s really not even that far. Not even in the top 100 longest routes. Maybe 9 hours.
Plane headed to Honolulu so not so strange, but an interesting detail.
I have flown on a 777, from SFO to Manila, non stop (14 hours) a ton of times. It’s about 2,000 further to Manila, than Hawaii. No refueling required.
The nose appears to be up and off the ground. Bad one, but lucky not full passengers. Pray for people on the ground and the crew.
Heard the crew is dead. It was not survivable because it exploded.

😆 When I was first flying to the Philippines, I was taking a 747. It either stopped for fuel in Hawaii or Guam. Now, it’s a 777, and it’s non stop, 14 hours to Manila. The 777 has more leg room, but 14 hours, is still too dang long on an aircraft.
There’s an app for that.
