Biden waged relentless war on oil/gas production in the US for 4 years. Biden even paused the export of LNG to America's allies in Europe for a while. Trump is just the opposite. He's gone all out to maximise oil/gas production in the US with LNG exports given all the help needed.

Had we not developed fracking and horizontal drilling, we’d be so much worse off today. Remember when the oil sheiks had us by the balls and could simply squeeze anytime they liked? Those days are over. Permanently. We dreamed of this from the 70s-2000s. If government will get out of the way, we can even develop enough capacity to supply a major portion of our allies’ (Japan + Europe) needs making them far more independent of the Middle East and Russia.

“He’s gone all out to maximise oil/gas production in the US with LNG exports given all the help needed.”

Trump better get to work then. The USA isn’t even in the top 15

In this article, we will look at the 15 countries with the largest refining capacity. If you want to explore similar countries, you can also read 5 Countries With The Largest Refining Capacity.

The refining industry is a major component of the global economy, with countries around the world processing petroleum products to generate energy and fuel. Refining capacity is an important measure of a country’s ability to produce oil and gas products, and in this article, we’ll take a look at the countries with the largest refining capacity. By examining the refining capacities of these countries, we can get an idea of how much of the world’s oil and gas is being produced, and how this production is being distributed.

LNG is not a refined product, at least to the general understanding of the refining process. Crude oil gets the name because it is crude, i.e. unrefined, requiring many transformational processes to produce usable products. Natural gas is usable with much less processing, mostly removing moisture & contaminants, but nothing that rearranges its chemical/molecular structure that is the refining process. Further processing to reduce its temperature is what results in LNG which makes it more easily transported.

Yeah. Also some oils are easier to refine than others. What’s in Venezuela has sulfur in it and requires additional steps. Russia, ironically, has oil that refines very easily particularly into diesel.
