From 1976 to 1991, I rode the C&NW into downtown Chicago and walked a mile across the Loop to South Clark Street, and I saw that town up close and ugly then, but only in the day time. After dark it was a hazard zone during those years, and apparently has gotten much worse since.
Kind of glad that part of my life is behind me. I do not believe I would even venture in there during the day now.
You can bet your azz that if Pritzker was out on the streets in Chicago that body armor was real and this gimmick walk around was designed to to provide an excuse for the clown being armored up.
