The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday gave the Trump administration once again the green light to strip deportation protections and work permits from hundreds of thousands of Venezuelan immigrants. The justices granted an emergency request from the Trump administration to block the ruling of a federal judge in California last month. The judge ordered the federal government to keep Temporary Protected Status for Venezuela through October 2026. The justices also wrote that the future of the protections will depend on how an appeals court in California responds to a separate appeal from the Trump administration on the same case.
“Although the posture of the case has changed, the parties’ legal arguments and relative harms have not,” the court said in a one-paragraph-long response, “The same result that we reached in May is appropriate here.”

I don’t see where the argument is here. Congress passed the law establishing TPS, but they did not define what ‘temporary’ means. That seems to me to leave that determination up to the Executive Branch, who by the same law is charged with enforcing it. The judicial branch has no say in the process, as this violates separation of powers. If Congress meant ‘temporary’ rather than indefinite, they should have said so.
So ship 'em out already.
Well bye.
Is it just the Venezuelans, or does it include Haitians and Cubans?
Now do the same with Haitians.
As long as they put the new cover sheets on their TPS reports.
“As long as they put the new cover sheets on their TPS reports.”

Ah, that would be great.
I’ll go ahead and get you another copy of that memo.
How long before another district judge issues an order blocking this again?

“The application for stay presented to JUSTICE KAGAN and by her referred to the Court is granted. Although the posture of the case has changed, the parties’ legal arguments and relative harms generally have not. The same result that we reached in May is appropriate here.”
Jackson dissents (surprise!!!)
So the Democrats could use it as a campaign issue against Republicans just before the mid-term elections.

Deportations protections and regulations that provide entitlements to alien immigrants can and will be ended by either the actions of the Congress and/or the Article II powers of the President. Unelected judges or Civil Servants are not invited to the party. The Citizens of the United States are tired of this nonsense and their elected representations can put a stop to the actions of the Deep State.
BUT WHO WILL FEED THE ALLIGATORS?
Even a child understands it many adults not so much.
