For sure agree. I just seem to remember the law coming down lightly on the baseball game shooting and when Rand Paul was beaten within an inch of his life.

Well, this just shows how memories can sometimes adjust themselves for political convenience.

The baseball game shooter was shot three times by responding officers and died of his injuries three days later. Rand Paul's attacker got 8 months in jail plus 6 months home confinement, which is a normal range sentence for an assault/battery without a weapon. Paul also got about $600k in damages in a lawsuit.

Regarding the home confinement sentence - Rand Paul’s attacker was his neighbor! Senator Paul was operating a lawn mower, was wearing hearing protection, and was attacked from behind, by a former emergency doctor, or all things.
