On Monday’s “Alex Marlow Show,” Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL) talked about sending the Guard to Chicago.
Miller said, “My hope is that he comes in with the National Guard today…I think he absolutely has the authority to do it. … He’s proven he can do it by going into DC and in two weeks, tamping down the crime there in a way that nobody’s ever seen before. And so, I’m very hopeful, in fact, I don’t even think it’s that he’s thinking about coming to Chicago, I think he has promised to come to Chicago and do what he did in DC.”

There’s actually a Republican member of the House from Illinois? Color me gobsmacked.
Go take all of Chicago’s illegal drugs. That’d kill ‘em.
From OP.

Token
She’s my Rep....South central Illinois, very rural.
You're lucky. My district (22nd) Rep. at one time was Republican Claudia Tenney from the Utica/Rome area. I voted for her each time she ran. They split her district, gave her the 24th District, and the GOP ran Brandon Williams for the 22nd District. He ended up being my Rep. for one term. Now serves as the United States Under Secretary of Energy for Nuclear Security. The summer of 2024 they gave Elise Stefanik the City of Rome where I live. We're now in the 21st District. She won reelection, but then President Trump tapped her for U.N. Ambassador, which fizzed out, so she's back as my Rep. We were in limbo here for quite a while, and Gov. Hochul was playing games, trying to delay the special election to replace her. I pleased Elise is my Rep. I liked her even before we were added to her district.
Downstate Illinois is mostly Republican. Illinois can’t jerrymander as a result of what Texas is doing because they’re already jerrymandered to the hilt for the democrats

You’re lucky. She’s one of the good ones. Wish she were my representative.
It's kind of like living here in NY State. I was born and raised in Rochester, but haven't lived there since around 1973. I've lived in Oneida County mostly since then, which is a red county. But with NY City and its suburbs, we don't get to choose the U.S. Senators or Governor, Attorney General, etc. of the State. The blue counties downstate always elect RATS.
I can see every IL district shaped like a slice of pie with a piece of Chicago in each one.
Nice HQ Larritorious So this video clip is making the rounds:
Great news...but the Mayor said Chicago doesn’t have a crime problem. I guess he is comparing today with Al Capone and John Dillinger... 😀
That’s the way it is in most democrat states. The state is all red except for the heavily populated blue cities.
NOOOOOOOOOO! Heads exploding.
Sad but true.
