tate Senate District 1 Special Election includes Polling Locations for Precincts 1-22 only. All other precincts are in State Senate District 7 and are not eligible to vote in the 8-26-25 Special Election.

Woodbury County (Sioux City) went 60% for Trump. Last State Senate election in 2022 went 55% for the Republican (who has died).

Main reason for interest in this race is a loss here is a loss of the GOP 33-16 supermajority in the State Senate.
