UK's Farage sets out plan for 'mass deportation' of asylum seekers

LONDON, Aug 23 (Reuters) - Former Brexit campaigner Nigel Farage set out plans on Saturday for "mass deportations" of migrants who have crossed the English Channel on small boats if his Reform UK party forms Britain's next government.

In an interview, Farage said he would withdraw Britain from the European Convention on Human Rights and sign deals with Afghanistan, Eritrea and other top countries of origin to repatriate illegal migrants.

"We can be nice to people, we can be nice to other countries, or we can be very tough to other countries ... I mean (U.S. President Donald) Trump has proved this point quite comprehensively," Farage said.

Asked if he was concerned that asylum seekers would be killed or tortured if they were sent to countries with poor human rights records, Farage said he was more worried about the threat he believed asylum seekers posed to Britons.

"I can't be responsible for despotic regimes all over the world. But I can be responsible for the safety of women and girls on our streets," he said.

Wow, there is job NATO could do. It could defend Europe’s boarders against foreign invasions.

This man should be executed for allowing his country to be invaded.

"...and sign deals with Afghanistan, Eritrea and other top countries of origin to repatriate illegal migrants"

This mass migration from third world countries into Europe and the United States is not organic.

How about shutting down the funding of the NGO front groups that are facilitating it?

“”I can’t be responsible for despotic regimes all over the world. But I can be responsible for the safety of women and girls on our streets,” he said.”

An excellent response by Farage to an idiotic media question.

I’ve yet to hear of anyone in the UK who wants to keep Starmer so who the heck voted for him, huh? More election fraud just like here or have muslims already become the majority? Every video out of the UK you’ll see hijab garb in the background. Last year, I was looking around street view in London and made a comment or two about the muslims living on the streets on FR but when I went back later to see the tents, they’d mysteriously disappeared. Hadn’t heard of and can’t believe the government would have moved them or is google maps doing a bit of selective cleaning up?

“Up to five flights a day...”

That would be a start, but closer to 20+ if they want to make a dent.

I don’t know if Farage talks about it, but once you get these ‘refugees’ sent home, you FREE UP huge amounts of housing, and thus can make it affordable again for Brits. We’re already seeing that happening in the US.

And really the conservative party was no better. They were in power over all this time while the UK was invaded by Mohammeds.

Britain discovers what it takes to have a secure border . . .

Nigel Farage accused Sir Keir Starmer of siding with international courts against the British public as he unveiled his plans for mass deportations of illegal migrants.

Writing for The Telegraph, the Reform UK leader pledged to leave the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR), repeal the Human Rights Act and disapply three other international treaties that he said acted as “roadblocks” to deporting anyone who entered the UK illegally.

Mr Farage – who will set out detailed plans in a speech on Tuesday – argued that such a move was “justified” under the Vienna Convention, the cornerstone of international law, because Britain faced “a national emergency in which uncontrolled illegal migration undermines public order”.
