What about mail-out and mail-in election ballots?

Next stop - 100% digital voting?

Most countries haven’t fallen for the mail-in ballot scam, but this effectively puts an end to paper checks, which gets us closer to social credit control.

What about mail-out and mail-in election ballots?

Stacie Abrams has a group that can replace the Post Office with the delivery and collection of ballots. Maybe they have already run a trial run and it worked.

I just got back from a two week trip. We had the mail held by the post office. It was all delivered yesterday.

After two weeks, there was one piece of mail that “significant.” There were 10 pieces altogether.

Checking the mail used to be a daily treat—like opening presents on Christmas morning. Now I can go a couple of days without checking.

Most mail is “marketing” mail nowadays. It’s a waste of time effort and money.

If there is a Danish version of Newman, he’s going to be very upset with this news.

For one thing, someone else will now be in control.

A guy I know is a mailman. I once asked him if he was sick of delivering junk mail.

“Oh, no.” he replied. “It’s the only thing that keeps us in business.”

Side point: I sure hope the Postal Service stays in business. Because every line of digital mail can be read by our friends at the FBI and CIA. That might be good in a few cases. But overall, it’s very bad for a free society.

Bills and junk make up probably 98% of what we get.

The whole usps model needs to be either totally rebuilt or shut down all together......that goes for amtrak as well.

Amazon helps generate revenue for the post office.

I guess this is inevitable but it begs the question of what is the government doing for all the tax money it gets. Is it going to fire a bunch of government workers as it goes more digital, or will it continue to grow and find make-work jobs for them?

If you look up DEI in the dictionary, it has a photo of a USPS employee.

Depends on who is running the show: Typically The GOP has always stood for smaller government (only Trump has executed on this) and the Dems are for massive large government and they ALL execute on that.

And delivered by the USPS which is little more than a federal jobs program for blacks.

I send 60 Christmas Cards every year.

I sometimes write letters when it is important. When a lady I knew well from college was dying of stomach cancer at 50, I sent het a handwritten letter, knowing it would mean more to her than a phone call, e-mail, or even a laser letter.

I do the same when relatives (godmother, the honorary uncle who took me to see Governor Reagan in person when I was 13).

I know we may not want to keep the entire apparatus for such romantic notions. Then it becomes like Amtrak, catering largely (outside the Acela corridor) to leisure travelers and those afraid of flying . Still, I think we need a service that includes letters and legal service of subpoenas and court documents, etc.

i can see stopping delivery to every house

make people go to the post office to pick up their mail, or the sender can pay the package rate to have it delivered as a package

I agree that, overall, USPS could be shrunk massively.

But, there MUST still be a postal service. offical hard copy docs. summonses, registered letters, etc.

I could easily see a 1x or 2x/ week delivery schedule

As someone posted above, it’s not a waste of time unless you want a social credit system like China—no checks=no cash=money controlled by govt.

“make people go to the post office to pick up their mail, or the sender can pay the package rate to have it delivered as a package”

Are you going to run to the USPS, if you know there is a time sensative summons, subpoena, eviction notice, type mail?
