They don’t give a hoot. They’ll just raise property taxes to cover costs and the Liberal FedGov freaks who live in these jurisdictions will happily pay their club membership fees, uh, I mean taxes.
I was in the Alexandria PS system in the 70’s when they introduced the 6222 plan. Forced bussing. There were daily riots in the school as a result. My parents sent me to military academy (which they could barely afford) because of this.

Putting ALL of this kind of spending on reimbursement only should be mandatory. As a side effect, it should also reduce that “missing funds” thing, where money is spent and nobody knows where it went.
I’m so old (not THAT old, really) that I remember when Virginia was the conservative side of the Potomac. But all of the swamp critters went native. Outsourcing military tasks to private contractors was probably the worst mistake Reagan ever made. Instead of bringing free markets to the military providers, he ended up bringing fascism to the tech industries.
Blame the parents.
The third worlder illegal aliens have colonized Virginia to be closer to the U.S. Treasury.
Many government employees live in these districts and illustrates how government employees think.
My daughter and grandson, lived in a Fairfax County Public School district. Last month, she sold her house and has moved to SC.
And my grandson is enrolled in a university in Texas (NOT UT). Praise God, they moved from that public school insanity.
Well done! Not a Trump fan on everything he does but I enthusiastically support most of his policies including this one.

I have an idea: remove all federal financial assistance from all schools at every level and return the money to the taxpayers.
Wasn’t it Fairfax or Loudon that had the FBI stalking parents who were vocal at board meetings?
