You answered your own questions. More illegals give more representation to Democrat states to add more democrats in the US House of Representatives.
Photo ID laws do help. I don’t know where you get your information but you are just wrong. In fact, I reject your whole premise as just wrong. You are just making it up.
They lie, cheat, and steal.
We KNOW they lie, cheat, and steal.
They KNOW we know they lie, cheat, and steal.
And they do it anyway.
Because tar and feathers are no longer fashionable.
Thanks. Yes, age 79, chronologically.
That’s to reflect fairness, honesty and integrity in our system. Too bad that’ll never fly.
Not post 25. Texas, Florida, North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona, lose seats too. Better argument, Native Americans weren’t included in the census until 1860-1890 unless fully assimilated as they owned loyalty to another sovereign entity. Same as illegal aliens. They weren’t included in congressional apportionment until 1940 unless they were fully assimilated and paid taxes. It seems to me when the Supremes rule on birthright citizenship it will have a big impact on this issue.
Photo ID laws only work if those taking and processing the vote actually enforce the law. Try working in inner city voting precincts, it’s a joke. Those folks don’t think they are breaking laws, it’s just the way it is and they have always done it. It’s like passing laws to stop people from breaking laws. Law breakers break laws, making them show photo ID, so what, if I show an ID how does that stop me from voting more than once, for my friends etc.? It sounds good and makes us feel better but that’s about it.
As far as illegals being counted, I’m not “getting my information from anywhere” just simply asking the question, if a CD has 800k and 50k are illegals, what difference does it make unless they are registered to vote? It’s an honest question. Yes we should not count illegals in the census, but has anyone actually explained how that changed Congrssional seats? Another responder agreed that it would reduce congressional seats across the partisan board. No illegals? Okay then we have 750k per CD verse 800k per district, how does that swing 20 - 30 seats. There are still more registered dems than republicans in this country, you pull illegals out of dems districts then I think they would offset some republican voters, wouldn’t they
If I understand your point, then it is kind of a wash? Maybe so today, but traditionally dem registration has outnumbered republicans, so doesn’t having a large number of non voting illegals in blue areas like cities actually dilute their power? I know long term this illegal stuff is a disaster, but claiming 20, 30 or more R seats after a new census seems like wishful thinking. What am I missing?
miller is right I dont get it but somehow by including illegals, who cant vote, in the census it added 20-30 house members to the dirty dems. The very least we can do is gerrymander every state possible to get back what should be ours.
Dems could always do crap to destroy all of this, the question will be whether or not they fear for their lives if they try.
ALL of this is a moot point if Democrats don’t come to view the people as their harsh and fearsome masters, a viewpoint they currently have very much inverted.
Because all government sucks, the best government can only be had when officials in power execute their duties in the shadow of their felt mortality before the face of a watching public willing to hold them to the very extremity of account.
