But some parents and advocacy groups are questioning whether the state should have the final say over what books are allowed...

They aren’t banned. It’s just not tax payer sponsored. People can still buy the books if they want them.

But if a local community decided to not have certain books in their kid’s library these same freaks would say they have no right to “ban” these books and be happy if the state forced them to make these books available to kids.
It’s always only one way.
And, can’t these so-called parents simply buy the dirty books for their kids if they want them to read them so much?
A local school library is not the Library of Congress.
They are all curated with a limited set of books. Cat-hoarding librarians tend to curate groomer books instead of classics of child literature.
When parents of students are intimidated into silence and the school boards, superintendents and teachers’ unions keep pushing perversion, it’s time for the state to step in.
As noted above: Spend your own money to buy this cr*p for your child.

What is the purpose of the public school? If that purpose is to indoctrinate young minds with perversion then the books are fine, If that purpose is to teach kids how to read, write and prepare for a decent life then these books should be banned. This is one of those cases where I side with the government. These books are not academically friendly...

In a democracy, “The State” is largely the will of the people. So, that will must change OR you can send your kids to a private school where those kinds of books ARE allowed. It’s what the political Right has known for years after fleeing from public schools.
