WINNING!
Wow this is great news.
Yes winning
Wow. “deliberately bypassed federal approval from Ottawa”
Yeah, but what happens when the Canadian federal government steps in and goes after the Provincial government people or the company execs the way they have gone after the Freedom Convoy people? The federal government will probably find a way to shut this down the way Biden killed Keystone.
Nice, but hard to see how Ottawa can sit back and permit, especially regarding the DESTRUCTION that it will do to the planet (as that bunch sees it). So, expect court fights.
Alberta will be the 51st state?
No. Once Alberta leaves the Confederation so too will Saskatchewan. BC will now be too isolated and will also leave and Manitoba will see the writing on the wall and will follow suit. This will be the nucleus of a new country formed out of those four provinces. Most likely the Yukon and NWT will also join since the only land access is through three of those four aforementioned provinces. Nunavut is a crap shoot.
I'm OK with that. But I'd prefer if we culled some unneeded state in the Northeast first.
Rhode Island would be a good start. Then we don't have to change the flag.
Then Canadians will start squabbling among themselves even more and asking if their federal government is worth the trouble.
Maybe Canadians will reach the point that Americans did with Joe Biden and just say we are done with Joe and his party; and then elect someone better.
It wouldn’t change much - most wouldn’t even notice.

the canadian central government has no say-so over international deals or even inter-province deals ... in effect, each canadian province has its own, independent, trade treaties between other countries AND with OTHER provinces ... the canadian central government is weak compared to the USA Feds ... you can look it up ...

Thanks, I was wondering about that...but Ottawa has ‘tools’ as they showed with the Trucker’s Protest, so if they want to stop this deal, they can.
Good for them; they need to take advantage of the opportunities.
Any way you look at it, it is a slap in the face to Ottawa.
“Alberta will be the 51st state?”
Sure, but dump Hawaii in the process and keep it at 50 turncoats. Take a chance on two more ‘blue’ senators? Over my dead body. Hawaii contributes NOTHING to this country.
