We are in Hawaii on the Big Island near South Point. Received an Emergency Alert about 20 mins ago to move to higher ground. We are not close to the ocean today. No information on when the waves are supposed to arrive. Another alert is supposed to be sent out when it is safe.

I don’t know...look at the date stamp in the upper right. Looks like it was earlier this year.

I worked in nuke effects for years. The seismic signature for an underground nuke is very different than a quake. The biggest I believe was Cannikin at a very localized 6 on the scale, and it was buried at 5000’, very deep for a test. A sub “blowing up” like the Kursk would produce an acoustic event, but would not couple to the seabed in any meaningful way.
