Anti-Trump DA Alvin Bragg sure acts like he has something to hide — we’re suing to find out

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg holds potentially hundreds of communications appearing to link his office to senior Biden administration officials and other political actors in connection with his unprecedented criminal prosecution of then-former President Donald Trump. We’ve asked for those records, and he’s not turning them loose. So we’re taking him to court.

Last September, America First Policy Institute launched a formal investigation into the people and motivations behind Bragg’s decision to prosecute Trump.

Our effort had a simple goal: figuring out whether Bragg’s case was a routine legal probe — or lawfare, a politically engineered hit job orchestrated to influence the 2024 election. The charges brought against Trump were extraordinary.

It would be interesting to know what really happened.

People may not remember this, but when Bragg took over from Cyrus Vance, people were angry, because he shot down the Trump investigation.

Then later he started again. I assume he didn't think it was worth it when he took office, then he got "orders" from someone and felt forced to do it.

Bragg "balked at pursuing an indictment against Mr. Trump" and lacked confidence proving in court that Trump "knowingly falsified the value of his assets on annual financial statements," according to the New York Times.

Carey R. Dunne and Mark F. Pomerantz were the lead Trump prosecutors from the Vance administration. Bragg was slow to meet with Dunne and Pomerantz after taking office and when they finally met to discuss the case, a source in the D.A.'s Office commented that Bragg seemed distracted and disengaged, continually checking his cell phone, according to the Washington Post.

Dunne and Pomerantz resigned abruptly after Bragg in late February 2022 when Bragg indicated to them that he had doubts about moving forward with a case against Mr. Trump". In his letter of resignation, Pomerantz wrote that the "team that has been investigating Mr. Trump harbors no doubt about whether he committed crimes,[20] including falsifying business records, and that it was "a grave failure of justice" not to pursue criminal charges.

Something happened for Bragg to change directions.

“””Something happened for Bragg to change directions.”””

Soros, DNC, Obama etc. I think Bragg and the crooked judge were two very nervous people when they found out Trump won the election. And the judges daughter was a major fundraiser for the democrats, was campaign manger for Kamala in 2020 and was hired to work on her 2024 campaign. No conflict of interest there.

I can’t believe the NY Post is suing Bragg.

Hope it’s NOT a Cookbook.

Bragg could use a little “come to Jesus meeting.” He keeps wandering out of his lane.
