“U.S. District Judge Darrin Gayles in the Southern District of Florida was nominated by Obama in February 2014, and became the first openly gay Black federal judge.” On June 17, 2014, his nomination was confirmed by a 98–0 vote.
Not one Republican objected!!!

A judge picked to officiate in a case of two parties which represent the ideology opposed to that of the judge.
If I were the judge, I’d be biased against the party which will be around longer, which in this case,will be the Murdoch/FOX. Trump will be gone in a few years, while FOX Corporation will be around longer and possibly making life intolerable tor democrats.

28 U.S. Code § 144 outlines the procedure for a judge to be disqualified due to bias or prejudice in a federal civil action. It requires the filing of an affidavit stating the facts and reasons for the belief that bias exists.
Voir dire will be the important thing. Weed out the TDS stricken.
