Jesus fulfilled God's covenant for all people who accept His victory over evil through His death and resurrection. That story has been around for more than 2000 years.

I love how the OP tried to give this some sort of credibility by pointing out AOC voted against it while ignoring that Ilhan Omar, Rashida Talib, Al Green, and Summer Lee were the bulk of the amendments’ minuscule support.

We can easily lose $500 billion in the bloated domestic budget, by returning that budget to the 2019 figures - before Covid and before Biden’s trillions.

Why is the U.S., a country with a public debt per capita of $107,320 and a $37 trillion dollar total debt, sending any money to a country like Israel with a $57,379 per capital debt?

Look. I understand that there is a legitimate conservative position against funding foreign militaries that doesn’t involve anti-semitism. I’m that way about Ukraine.

If you dig slightly into my posting history, I recall making a democratic / republican (small d small r) argument about when and whether to fund Israel, letting the populace of America decide. I think that’s fair. Right now, Americans support funding Israel. In some future state, they may not. So I’m terribly in favor of Israel self funding its defense (which they largely do, unlike most).

Your side may win the argument someday, and I’m totally okay with that.

But not yet. There is still a vast majority of Americans (ex AIPAC) who support Israel as the first line of defense against the savage. As witnessed by today’s wildly lopsided vote.

I suspect you and I are on the same side regarding Ukraine funding. It’s nuts.

Anyhow, unlike several other posters who are only ever monochromatic anti-semites, I suspect you’re an America First radical conservative, which I respect.

I’m trying my hardest to get Israel to be purely independent of American tax dollars. It’s unwise and unhealthy for them (and anyone else) to bet their country on our support.

I first came on FR 25 years ago when it was the premier conservative forum and had a much larger membership than it does now. Then the Iraq war came along and Jim made it clear that anyone who was against it was no longer welcome here. So like many others I moved on while many others were banned. But then Trump came along and his America first perspective resonated with me so I re-registered but under a different screen name because I had lost my old password. But now it’s starting to appear that fiscal conservatives (at least those unwilling to make an exception for Israel) might no longer be welcome here either. Well that’s fine the owners certainly have every right to run this forum as they see fit.

But lately I’ve been spending more time on X. At least there I can choose who I want to follow and if some clown appears on my feed I can just block them and be done with it. But here I find myself being personally attacked and smeared just for expressing any opinion that might not align with the Christian Zionists. I’m not an antisemite and probably know way more Jews personally than any of the Evangelicals on here so it’s a bit ironic that they would smear me but whatever. One of my sisters is a Christian Zionist. While we might disagree on a few things we have no problems having an adult conversation on this matter. She’s extremely devout religiously and believes God’s hand guides everything so doesn’t get worked up when somebody might not share her views. If she saw Nervous Tick’s posts on here she would say that his angry invectives and smears exhibit very un-Christian like behavior. It seems many of the Evangelicals on here want to drive off from this forum anyone who doesn’t share their views and basically make this forum a Christian Zionist echo chamber. Well if that’s where this is heading I guess it will be time for me to move on again. Fortunately nowadays there’s a huge number of alternative conservative forums out there so it’s no big deal but I would miss some of the posters here and miss the more intimate nature of this forum but hey life will go on. But you can’t keep smearing everyone who disagrees with our policies toward Israel as antisemites or eventually this forum will continue to lose posters and become even more of a shadow of its former self. But if that’s what most people want than so be it. Like I’ve said there’s plenty of alternative conservative forums out there so it’s really not that big of a deal.

There are lots of folks here who veer close to anti-semitism, and I try to avoid nailing them. There are a very few others (nitzy, angelino97, and hardspunned) who are / were single issue anti-semites, in my opinion.

It’s fair enough to have issues with Israel. I do. So long as it’s not your only issue, and it’s not because Jews are Evil, well, whatever. Have a party.

The Palestinian Mandate expired in 1947. There has never been a country or State of Palestine, but it was called that and agreed to in 1923 by the UN’s predecessor League of Nations. The British allowed their designated control to expire in 1947. The term “Palestine” was coined by the British and French and named after the Syriana Palestina Protectorate of the Roman Empire of 170. Jews were given Title to the Land btmy God at Mount Sinai, but admonished them to possess the Land. They were wiped out by the Romans, but did possess the Land by their Declaration of Independence in 1948, which was prophesied. Yasser Arafat, an Egyptian, resurrected the Name Palestine when he formed the PLO in 1970, after they were expelled by Jordan. The first Book of the New Restament was written in about 60 to 90 AD. It was not canonized until 326 by the Council of Nicea. One thing for sure The British and French Empires have sought to own the Levant since they became Empires. So, the problem is a question of Ownership. Jesus was offered all the Kingdoms of the World and Jesus replied ‘Worship the Lord Your God, and serve him only’. He never claimed ownership at that time. I cannot find where God took the Land away from the Jews. He commanded them to possess it. Obviously, I cannot believe that anyone ever replaced the Jews. They were Chosen for their purpose as we are chosen for ours. That is why Paul admonished Christians not to become arrogant. We have all fallen short of the Glory of God.
