I don't listen much, but I remember on story about illegal immigration that “proved” immigration doesn't drive down wages. They compared two chicken processing plants, one which hired illegals and the other hired citizens and legal immigrants. There were lots of interviews with workers meant to tug on your heartstrings. But cutting out all if that, they stated that the proof of their assertion was that both factories had the same pay, but they were far enough apart that they were in different labor markets and the similarity of pay was from national conditions and not illegals at one factory driving down the other. They slipped in, almost under the radar, that the factories were 25 miles apart.
Wait, what? Who here has driven a half hour for a job? 25 miles is certainly in the same labor market. But with one subtle little assertion, they based their entire argument.

(I refuse to call the left "progressive" because I do not see slavery to the government as progress.)
