A new wave of immigration judge firings was carried out Friday, with 15 judges receiving notice via email that their employment would end on July 22. The judges are finishing the end of a 2-year probationary term that begane when they were appointed under the Biden administration. The Trump administration has been working to close borders while the Biden administration sought multiple semi-legal ways to get more illegal immigrants into the country.

According to two people familiar with the firings, and a confirmation from the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers (IFPTE), the judges were informed their terms would not be extended or converted into permanent appointments, according to NPR.

The judges are finishing the end of a 2-year probationary term

Maybe that is a clue why now.

OK that would make sense in this case. There is no such excuse for all those other departments. At least 2/3rds of the FBI should have received pink slips right away.

You can get rid of a bunch of leftist scum and push through your own appointees at the same time.

Look for other great news to follow, as a plan is executed in an orderly fashion. For example, expect Episcopal Bishop Edgar’s “charitable” organization to be audited. She received tens of millions of dollars in 2023 and 2024. This is part of the program to defund the left wing in this country, first advocated by Newt Gingrich while he was Speaker, finally being implemented by the Trump Administration.

Why was this not done within the first week of the administration? Why was the same not done with federal prosecutors, throughout the DOJ, the State Department, the IRS and the Department of Defense?

The article mentioned these were temporary/probationary judges whose probationary terms had expired and were not being renewed. So they really were "not renewed" rather than just "fired".

The answer to the rest of it is that presidential appointees were fired very quickly. It is the next levels down that likely had certain administrative procedures that had to be followed before they could be fired.

This could be counter-productive. Now there won't be enough judges to give the illegals their 'due process'!

Maybe Trump can recruit some replacements from the Roy Bean School of Law!

Too early for a drink to celebrate, but I’ll toast Pres. Trump this afternoon.

I kind of like the guillotine, but watching them fly through the air would make my day.

Just at thought . . . It has been only 6 months into our fresh new day. Biden hired hundreds of immigration judges. Probably not ALL were leftist. When you hire that many judges, some veteran judges and attorneys coming out of retirement, even Biden’s bunch could have inadvertantly hired conservative or neutral judges.

We’ve had time to observe and evaluate. Maybe these 15 were obvious leftist and letting them go at the end of their term a week from now is a perfect, non-litagtionable way to cull the herd.

That is much the way I see it. Shameful. Asylum is a serious and worthwhile thing, something that does support our nation as a beacon of freedom when used as it should be used.

Democrat scumbags perverted the whole process as an adjunct to a twisted domestic political agenda and used it as a internal political tool.

Now, “asylum” means nothing.

Shameful.

We’ve got to stop calling executive branch employees ‘judges’.

If they work for IRS, INS, etc., they’re not judges.

I’m confused..... why would the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers (IFPTE) have anything to do with judges.

We’ve got to stop calling executive branch employees ‘judges’.

In the past they have been called special inquiry officers

I believe immigration judges are under the executive branch umbrella to deal with.

“Why was this not done within the first week “

2-year probationary term

Trump follows the law, just like all good Americans.

The complaint against illegals is that they don’t follow the law. If Trump didn’t follow the law he would then be an “illegal”.

Administrative judges are part of the executive branch, not the judiciary. So, yes, he can fire his own employees.
