The one thing Newsom has going for him, in seeking the nomination for President in 2028, is that his likely competition is even worse: Pete Buttigieg, AOC, Spartacus, Jasmine. Lucky for Newsom that Mamdani is not eligible to become President.

My grandchildren, when they were staying with us, loved slime. They would use up all our laundry detergent, making jar after jar of the stuff and playing with it, changing the color, looking up new recipes on-line. But Newsome, they would not have liked.
