FBI Director Kash Patel is reportedly also frustrated with Pam Bondi and considering resigning if Dan Bongino leaves.
Earlier Friday it was reported that FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino took a day off from work after a clash with Attorney General Pam Bondi over the handling of the Epstein files.
On Sunday night a new FBI, DOJ memo obtained by Axios concluded Jeffrey Epstein did not have a client list that he used for blackmail.
The FBI earlier determined that Epstein did commit suicide in August 2019.
According to Axios, Bongino was blamed for the oversight of the missing minute.
CNN reported that Bongino has told people he is considering resigning but he has not made up his mind yet.
The Daily Wire reported that Bongino said he won’t stay at the FBI if Pam Bondi stays at the DOJ.
Later Friday The Daily Wire reported that Kash Patel also wants Pam Bondi gone and that he is also considering leaving if Bongino leaves.
There is frustration with other documents that Pam Bondi has not released.
Fox News is reporting that Director Kash Patel and Bondi have every intention to stay and serve.

Thank you very much and God bless you.
Yup.
That is why so many folks here thought the memo was fake.
It was that damaging.
That is exactly the point Liz Wheeler made on Megyn Kelly’s show yesterday - why this Epstein story is bigger than maybe even Trump thinks is because it’s a continuation of the shit sandwiches we’ve been fed for the past 8 years - you’ve listed some of them but it goes back to Obama and before.
No one gets held accountable. OK under Biden we knew it wasn’t going to happen, so we voted for Trump. And now his AG is pulling the same wool over the same eyes again.
If Trump fails to understand this, it will be the biggest error of his Presidency.
Ditto. If this divorce mess looks like it is going to sink his senate bid, Trump should nominate Paxton as he should have been the nominee to begin with.
Hmmm. Why is it that the pro Palestinian , pro Russian bunch is in bed with the anti Bondi leftwing media?
BREAKING: KASH PATEL RUMORS OF LEAVING ARE NOT TRUE!@JsolomonReports pic.twitter.com/zhz5svfpzz— Real America's Voice (RAV) (@RealAmVoice) July 11, 2025
Wiles is his main advisor. She may have been okay for the campaign, but she has not been giving good advice.
What I don’t like is how he’s promoted Deep Staters in the Bureau and has hardly let anyone go when it really needs to be slashed to the ground. I heard speculation today that he had stuff held over him from his congressional days, perjury I think it was—and that he could well be being controlled by legal threat.
He’s going to have to act quickly because this mess is getting messier by the day. If he reopens the investigation, Bondi’s tenure would seem to be untenable after essentially saying there’s nothing there.
Of course a lot hinges on how the Patel/Bongino differences with her are worked out. All this can still be done, but it will take some clever management and wordsmithing to tamp down the growing skepticism.
Bondi seems to be dragging her feet on several fronts. I don’t know if it’s her Legal Beagle mentality or if she is just not on the same team. She seems to have no problem lying to the cameras.
“The implication, then, is that Trump would back Bondi over Patel and Bongino, if they have to resign?”
I infer that Trump would back Patel and Bondi over Bongino:
“we’re told that both FBI director Kash Patel and the attorney general have every intention to stay and serve”
It’s all very messy.
Yes lots of us are noticing that. Zero arrests for any Dem crimes. It’s not sitting well with a lot of people.
That is possible, but she is going to go down over this. He can’t afford to keep her.
I don’t know who is giving advice in that WH but new MAGA people need to take over the advice job.
stupid Republicans. screwing up a wet dream—again.
It sounds like Patel and Bongino are on the same side vs. Bondi. And if they were being backed, why would they have to resign?
Why would he lionize her if she wasn’t doing what he wanted?
You’re right. I thought it was Bongino/Patel v. Barbie. Then I saw the last paragraph in the OP which kind of sounded different.
I figure nothing will change and this will all shake out by the end of the weekend.
Considering the sources of these reports I don’t take them as absolute fact.
That said Trump will only stand for so much of this bad press.
Trump understands the best way to handle bad press is accomplishments.
And when it comes to accomplishments Blondi don’t have a whole lot to hang her hat on.
However the worst thing Trump could do is fire Blondi if he doesn’t have a better alternative lined up.
Sadly I think the pickings are slim.
Trump takes a lot of flack on FR for his choices for appointments which I’m not sure is fair.
He has better things to do than compile lists of candidates.
He can only make the best choice of those presented to him.
I do think Judge Pirro would have the administrative skills and public relations skills to run a department as large as the DOJ.
It’s apparent that Blondi is in over her head.
She’s not in charge.
She is just stuck in reaction mode never in action mode.
“If there is truth to any of this, Bondi is the one that needs to be go.”
Bondi is being threatened by our intelligence services and probably by foreign services as well. They’ve got our government by the balls with the honeytrap info because there are so many perverts in our government.
“The implication, then, is that Trump would back Bondi over Patel and Bongino, if they have to resign?”
One thing I learned in business politics. If a disgruntled employee threatens to quit if the bosses aren’t sacked, a short while later his boss is hiring his replacement.
When someone known for appearing to be confident and assertive suddenly morphs into someone inhibited, timid and withdrawn, it often is because they now feel more vulnerable, or compromised than ever before. Ask Chief Justice Roberts about it.
IOW, “Nice parents and longtime girlfriend you got there, Kash. All their neighbors just love them to pieces. It would sure be a bad thing, were something ‘unfortunate’ ever happened to them while you run the FBI, now wouldn’t it, Kash?
