Sliwa has an ego the size of Manhattan. I doubt he will do anything for the common good.

a recent poll conducted by American Pulse that showed Sliwa edging out Adams 16%-14% in a four-way race, with Mamdani leading with 35%, followed by Cuomo with 29%. The poll also showed Adams with the worst net favorability. Why push Sliwa out? He seems to be doing better than Adams. But we want to ditch Sliwa and bet everything on Adams? What am I missing?

Sliwa has an ego the size of Manhattan. I doubt he will do anything for the common good. It's fine that Sliwa wants to stay.
Republicans in NYC will just have to vote for Adams instead.

“””Sliwa has an ego the size of Manhattan.””...and no chance of winning even if he was the only candidate.

Therefore he has no chance.

Zohran Mamdani is "stoppable" But Kirk doesn't name the guy who can stop him...
Whatever.

Deep State isn’t worried.
NYC has RCV, and electronic machines and tabulators for a reason. And early voting. And mail-in voting.
Gotham is screwed until it secures its elections.

Sliwa, don’t drop out.
NYC needs you in even if you lose.
Because as a candidate you’ll have standing.

He won the republican primary. More than Adams did.

They wont!
The problem is that ALL of the DEM candidates listed aren't good, for different reasons. And Sliwa is a GOPer, so Charlie is off base.

basically....this is not Rudy Guiliani, who had a history of taking down the mob and DA of NYChitty when he ran for mayor....the Guardian Angels time was 40 years ago.
To: shelterguy
True dat. He’d do better in the hotdog eating contest. He’ll be no more than an asterisk in this race.

This is a classic Prisoner’s Dilemma game theory problem.

If all three of Mamdini’s opponents cooperate—and two drop out—one of them wins.
If they all go their own way all three lose and Mamdini wins.
