Border Patrol: 13 migrants found on truck pulled over in New Mexico

DEMING, N.M. — A man is facing charges after U.S. Border Patrol agents allegedly found 13 migrants on a truck he drove after pulling him over in New Mexico.
Agents say Jarol Arroyo-Cerin, of Maryland, was driving a semi-truck with an empty flatbed trailer June 25 near Deming. They say they pulled him over after growing suspicious of his setup and the route, adding it’s often used to smuggle contraband while avoiding checkpoints.
Agents say they found 13 people in hidden compartments under the trailer and the cab.
The man is facing conspiracy charges and could spend 10 years in prison if convicted.
