Yesterday, there were a lot of rumors floating around about the ban on Medicaid for illegal aliens being stripped from the bill.
Thankfully, that's not true. It's very much in the bill we just passed. You can look it up below. Page 602. Section 77109.
Here's where the rumor came from: During yesterday's vote-a-rama, an amendment banning Medicaid for illegal immigrants was voted down.
The clip of that vote started circulating online—and folks took that to mean that the provision had been stripped from the bill altogether.
But that was just one of many "messaging amendments," designed to force Democrats to vote against specific provisions—in this case, a ban on some Medicaid funding for illegal aliens who commit heinous crimes—on the record. It was meant to show the public how radical they are.

And it wasn't just a ban on some Medicaid for illegal immigrants who commit heinous crimes—it applies to ALL Medicaid for ALL illegal immigrants. (And most noncitizens generally).
The bill we passed actually goes much further—beyond banning Medicaid for 1.4 million illegal aliens, it:
• Requires states to verify citizenship status before providing coverage • Bans automatic Medicaid enrollment for children of illegal aliens • Excludes DACA from Medicaid
No wonder the Left is so rabidly hating this bill...
so they just ignored the parliamentarian?
OK ... I'm glad it's still in there.
But this really shows how dysfunctional congress really is. Hundreds of pages of bill ... tens of thousands of sections ... Does ANYBODY really understand what all is in there?
So, as Stephen Miller points out, the best way to prevent illegals from getting benefits meant for Americans is to deport them.
Why on earth would they be there in the first place?
>> Does ANYBODY really understand what all is in there?
We’ll have to pass it to know what’s in it. 🤣
Their “messaging amendment” sure made a lot of folks angry on our side!
So let me ask you a question: THere are 20M illegals here. If someone gets sick, and ends up at the hospital, does the hospital kick them out? Are they even allowed to? So what this will do, in the short term, is bankrupt hospitals as they will not be reimbursed, especially rural hospitals. Unintended consequences.
Exactly
I don’t care. They get sick, too bad.
They don’t like it? Go home.
20 million?
How about the other 50 million illegals?
Hospitals will still pass the cost onto others by increased charges like they do for any unpaid bills. This does not endanger rural hospitals.
What it does is save us a crap ton of medicaid money currently being spent on routine medical care for illegals. They’ll just have to pay cash at urgent care or get charities to pony up for them.
Or go back to their home countries.
IS this a great country, or what?
Where did they conjure up this 1.4 million number? That’s a drop in the bucket. There are millions and millions just in California alone. I live in Southern California and you have to see it to believe it.
AT LEAST.
1.4 is a start
1.4 million is a classic example of propaganda...
At least an order-of-magnitude underestimation of the target population of migrant invaders sucking on Medicaid’s teat...
IMHO...
