I remember back in the 80s, a cap was put on the number of AMERICAN medical school applications so foreign doctors, primarily Indian applicants could get in.
Presumably, many of the Americans applicants who were denied the right to apply for medical school came from rural America and would have liked to be their community’s hometown doctor.
Foreigners are more into $$$. They have no desire to live in a small town.
They did the same thing with nurses in the 90s by claiming there was not enough nurses in America. Guess who came over... Indian nurses.
I thought at the time in both instances. “THIS IS NOT RIGHT.”

She’s using an ancient HP that weighs about 100 # and is slower than molasses. Not very user friendly.
