As tracked by this and other surveys (e.g., NFIB, MSNBC/SurveyMonkey), small business confidence rose strongly following the election of Donald Trump last year. Small business confidence cratered early this year, with uncertainties regarding international trade. Last month, with the lastest postponement of a trade war, small business confidence partially rebounded to where it had been immediately following Trump's elecition.
