When local government leaders will not maintain law and order, and the same is the case for the county, and the state, then the President has authority to help the citizens restore order.

The citizens have the right to muster and defend their property and themselves and others, when government leaders fail or will not.

The Posse Comitatus Act is an old law from 19th century. It’s obsolete in these modern times. Isn’t this the argument the left has been using to prevent President Trump from using old laws.

Here we go: In 1957 During desegregation there were protests and the Central High School students who were black was trying to enter the High School.

Back then there were protests and picket lines.

In September of 1957 Thurgood Marshall asked for President Eisenhower's help and the President obliged.

He Sent the Army's 101 airborne to Arkansas and he federalized the Arkansas Nation Guard to keep the peace and protect students as they entered the high school.

My mother took my hand and walked me through the picket lines. This was in 68 or 69 in Louisiana. Louisiana was behind in desegregating schools.

I say all of this to say....Those on the picket lines were Democrats. The same Democrats who created the KKK.

Those same Democrats today are protesting against the black and white people of this country in favor of who they plan to be their slaves they lost.

Please provide California with a republican form of government. It’s way past time that we followed the Constitution on this.

Slightly off topic, but author Sonja Sharp shows just what a freaking idiot and ignoramus she is when she writes "...a 19th century law with a a blood-soaked origin and a name that seems pulled from a Spaghetti Western." Grok explains:
"Posse Comitatus" is Latin and means "power of the county" or "force of the community." The term comes from the Latin words posse (to be able, power) and comitatus (company, group, or county). It was historically used in English common law to refer to a group of citizens summoned by a sheriff to maintain law and order. In the U.S., it’s most commonly associated with the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878, which limits the use of federal military forces in domestic law enforcement.
If she had any shame, she's quit trying to write for a living. Clearly she is a product of American public "education," she never studied Latin and she is not curious in the least about words, their etymology, or the law. But she is no doubt a Democrat and we all know what they think about laws.
