Anyone who catches the commercials on Bannon’s Warroom knows that they centenarian Holocaust survivors in Russia are getting along on half a carrot a day—unless you send money now!!!
—” May the Russian people begin to rise up and fight for themselves and their lives.”
Russia...where 40 million people still shit outside!
“It is just as difficult and dangerous to try to free a people that wants to remain servile as it is to enslave a people that wants to remain free.”
Niccolo Machiavelli
“Attacking the messenger is exactly what y’all do when I point out that every time there’s one of these “Its gloom and doom for Russia” stories, it comes from a British Tabloid.”
I didn’t attack you as a messenger. I just pointed out your lack of credibility.
Nonsense; in 1917 Russia was a British, French, and U.S. ally and the U.S. sent troops to help them stay in the war to fight Germany.
And then “the boots wore out”, as Yevgraf Zhivago said.
“Trust nothing from Russia and Russian sources”
These guys should do some evaluation of their motives realizing that the only thing they consider credible is Russian propaganda.
You seem upset that I attacked Tass and RT ...
Gemini:
TASS (Russian News Agency TASS) is a state-owned news agency of Russia, and as such, it is widely considered a vehicle for Russian state propaganda.
Here’s a breakdown of why it’s often labeled as such:
* State Ownership and Control: TASS is a Federal State Unitary Enterprise, wholly owned by the Russian government. This direct control means its editorial line is aligned with the Kremlin’s policies and narratives. Historically, during the Soviet era, TASS was the official news agency of the Soviet Union and was responsible to the Council of Ministers, reflecting the official state position. This legacy of state control continues.
* Propaganda Function: Critics and analyses frequently point out that TASS functions as a propaganda agency. Its role is not merely to disseminate objective information but to promote the Party’s (and now the government’s) ideology and political line. This is achieved through the selection of news, framing of events, and at times, outright distortion.
* Disinformation and Bias: TASS has been cited as a source of disinformation, particularly in relation to sensitive geopolitical events. For example, during the Russian invasion of Ukraine, TASS was accused of spreading false claims, such as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy fleeing Kyiv or Ukraine making a “nuclear dirty bomb.” Its coverage tends to be highly critical of countries and entities that oppose Russian interests, while presenting Russian government views in an “objective” style that blurs facts and opinions.
* Censorship and Editorial Control: TASS materials are subject to censorship, ensuring they conform to the official party line. Historically, it was understood that TASS’s job was “not to disseminate information which by its content and nature is like a mere photographic process... but information, based upon Marxist-Leninist theory, which provides an analysis of events.” While the ideological framework has shifted, the principle of aligning with state objectives remains.
* International Concerns: In response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, organizations like the European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA) suspended TASS, stating it was “not being able to provide unbiased news.” Similarly, Getty Images ended its partnership with TASS due to violations of editorial policy.
In essence, TASS serves as a crucial instrument for the Russian government to shape domestic and international perceptions of events, advance its geopolitical agenda, and counter narratives that are not favorable to its interests.
Gemini:
Yes, RT (formerly Russia Today) is widely considered a major vehicle for Russian state propaganda. Here’s a summary of why:
* State Ownership and Funding: RT is a state-controlled international news television network directly funded by the Russian government, specifically through the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Media. This direct financial and organizational link ensures its editorial line aligns with the Kremlin’s foreign policy and domestic narratives. In fact, its creation in 2005 was explicitly part of a public relations effort by the Russian government to improve Russia’s image abroad.
* Propaganda Outlet: Academics, fact-checkers, news reporters, and even some former RT staff have consistently identified RT as a purveyor of disinformation and conspiracy theories. It’s often described as “the Kremlin’s principal international propaganda outlet.”
* Disinformation and Bias: RT’s reporting frequently reflects a strong anti-Western and anti-American bias. It often amplifies voices that are critical of Western governments and policies, and it has been instrumental in spreading false narratives and conspiracy theories. Examples include:
* Denying Ukrainian nationhood and statehood, and falsely accusing Ukraine of being a neo-Nazi state committing genocide.
* Spreading misinformation about the Russian invasion of Ukraine, including false claims about Ukrainian biological weapons and “dirty bombs.”
* Promoting pro-Kremlin views and downplaying or denying Russian war crimes.
* Casting doubt on widely accepted facts and promoting alternative, often conspiratorial, explanations for events.
* Covert Operations and Influence: Beyond direct broadcasting, there have been accusations of RT engaging in covert operations to influence public opinion in other countries, including allegedly funding pro-Trump influencers in the U.S. and secretly operating media outlets abroad to spread its content without clear attribution.
* Foreign Agent Registration: In the United States, RT America was required to register as a “foreign agent” under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) due to its government funding and role in disseminating Russian government views.
In short, RT functions as a sophisticated, well-funded propaganda arm of the Russian government, designed to shape international perceptions in line with Moscow’s interests.
Yes you attacked me, the messenger, when I pointed out that the same message coming from the same source which has proven false over and over and over and over and over and over again lacks credibility.
Remember when the Russians were supposedly freezing to death in their tanks? Remember when they were running out of artillery shells? Remember when their economy was going to collapse any minute now? Remember when Putin was dying of cancer? Remember when they were taking so many losses they would soon collapse? British Tabloids pushed all the above and more numerous times over the last few years - none of it has proven true.
“when I pointed out that the same message coming from the same source which has proven false over and over and over and over and over and over again lacks credibility.”
You did not such thing. If you claim you did I will go back and copy your post.
“when I pointed out that the same message coming from the same source which has proven false over and over and over and over and over and over again lacks credibility.”
You did not. Your totally dismissed the source without looking at the facts.
You totally ignored that their facts came from Russian sources and are verifiable. I even posted that to you.
-———Your post.
Oh Look! Another British Tabloid. Who’d have guessed it?
Yeah, I dismissed the source because the source has lied over and over and over and over again about this subject. I don't deny Russia is having some struggles economically as a result of the war. So is ours. So are all the European economies. Are they on the verge of imminent collapse? I've heard this song and dance before from the same sources. I've heard it many many times. It was never true before so I have every reason to doubt it now.
“Yeah, I dismissed the source because the source has lied over and over and over and over again about this subject. “
Your bias led you you to dismiss it. You never looked to see that their sources are Russian. I even verified r to you but you still won’t acknowledge the facts contained in the article.
What is your credible source on this issue?
What are you blabbering about? Nonsense.
“I don’t deny Russia is having some struggles economically as a result of the war.”
That is what the article said. Why did you dismiss it as fake?
“So is ours.”
Really? We have a decent economy which is going to boom once the BBB starts having its effect.
“What are you blabbering about? Nonsense”
Thanks for chiming in. Before, I didn’t know you were buddies with Kazan, kiryandil and Putin.
I have no idea what you are talking about. 11th post in. Nothing before even indicated Putin love.
The article was discussing Russia’s economic demise. You call that support for Putin?
You’re sick.
“I have no idea what you are talking about. “
Obviously.
“11th post in. Nothing before even indicated Putin love.”
Kazan and Kiryandle, Putin lovers, spamming a thread critical of Russia.
“The article was discussing Russia’s economic demise. You call that support for Putin?”
Absolutely not. But thanks for butting in.
“You’re sick.”
You need a lesson on reading comprehension.
