Dear Mr. (saxophonist),
Thank you for reaching out to me regarding firearm legislation. I appreciate hearing from you on this critical issue.
In Colorado, we support the Second Amendment and the right of individuals to hunt and protect their families and homes. At the same time, our state has endured unimaginable tragedies due to gun violence. As a result, Colorado strengthened its background check system and made reforms to make our communities safer. I believe we can enact similar reforms on the federal level while protecting Americans' Second Amendment rights.
Congress made progress on this issue when we passed the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act in June 2022. The law requires stronger background checks for gun buyers under the age of 21 and works to close the "boyfriend loophole" to provide greater protections to victims of domestic violence. It also funds grants for states to implement red flag laws, which prevent individuals who are a danger to themselves or others from obtaining firearms. The Bipartisan Safer Communities Act includes historic funding to increase access to mental health, suicide prevention, and trauma intervention programs. This law is a significant step to help reduce the epidemic of gun violence.
We must work together to address gun violence in our country and break the partisan stalemate that continues to put our kids and communities at risk. At the same time, we must uphold the rights enshrined in our Constitution. The Bipartisan Safer Communities Act was a good start, and I will continue to work with my Senate colleagues to find common ground on this critical issue to keep Coloradans safe.
I value the input of fellow Coloradans in considering the wide variety of important issues and legislative initiatives that come before the Senate. I hope you will continue to inform me of your thoughts and concerns.

Thank you very much and God bless you.
It's just a bunch of crap, and Chickenpooper's not any better.
Yada yada....send money...yada yada.
And yet they never mention how many of those gin crimes are committed by legal gun owners.
The correct answer is usually Zero.
How come they do not ever say they respect the right of the individual to protect themselves from tyranny? When will they redefine “shall not be infringed”?

Hunting has NOTHING to do with it.
CO ping
So Senator Bennett wants to take firearms out of peoples hands, yet crime is increasing in Colorado due to gang violence that the Governor nor Mayors want to deal with.
They’ve got to stop smoking their product.
But this is what I got back, just 15 minutes before posting it here.
And I will say this about Bennet. He does actually respond to things. Several years ago, I had a Flag flown over the U.S. Capitol, and one of his staffers called me to ask if there was a special date, or for a special person.
So he does his job, and he will probably be the next governor, but he's just on the wrong side of things.

I’m not giving up a stinking thing. Not happening. :)
Sheesh...
HA! You got a form letter.
Of course I did.
Colorado Ping ( Let me know if you wish to be added or removed from the list.)
I vaguely remember that. Have to look it back up.
I remember receiving BS email/letters from Bennet when I used to write him about any 2nd Amendment issues, even any conservative issues. He is a dirtbag anti american.
