Trump Team Launches SuperPAC Focused Solely on Ousting Thomas Massie

Rapidly making good on President Trump’s promise to back a 2026 Republican primary challenger to libertarian-minded Rep. Thomas Massie, the Trump team has already launched a super PAC dedicated entirely to removing Massie from office next year. It promises to make for the strongest challenge Massie’s faced yet.

The new “Kentucky MAGA” super PAC will be run by top Trump political operatives Tony Fabrizio and Chris LaCivita, with La Civita telling Axios the new entity will spend “whatever it takes” to replace Massie. Trump’s political circle has already had discussions with potential challengers. “Massie’s long-time opposition to…really anything to do with President Trump — is coming to an end,” LaCivita said.

First elected to Congress in 2012 and consistently advocating for fiscal discipline, the right of armed self-defense, and a non-interventionist foreign policy, Massie has built a large and loyal national following among the libertarian right and other conservatives, with many regarding him as the congressional successor to the iconic Ron Paul. Massie issued a caution to would-be challengers: “Any serious person considering running should spend money on an independent poll before letting swampy consultants take them for an embarrassing ride.”

Massie, who has two degrees from MIT, has repeatedly triggered Trump’s wrath. In 2020, he opposed the $2 trillion, Trump-backed Covid-19 “relief package.” When Congressional leaders tried to usher it through without members present, Massie memorably stepped to the podium and declared, “Mr. Speaker, I came here to make sure our republic doesn’t die by unanimous consent in an empty chamber, and I request a recorded vote.” Last year, Massie told Tucker Carlson about his quest, which entailed a rushed, 8-hour drive to Washington and sleeping three nights in his wife’s SUV:

The people in Kentucky need congressmen who are focused on local needs. They are not being helped by politicians using Kentucky to pursue national aspirations.

Should also focus on getting out all of the Congressional RINOs, starting with John Thune.

Omygosh. You STILL haven’t learned to trust Trump’s instincts?

Massie had no problem backing bills back during Biden’s term and helping McCarthy get the necessary votes to pass procedural hurdles.

Thank you, I totally agree. Trump needs to stay out of it. Let Kentucky citizens sort things out. This makes him look vindictive and it’s a bad look.

We’ve got bigger fish to fry. Specifically senate seats in Ga. and Michigan-both winnable. Trump should be able to handle these piss-ant troublemakers.

I am not sure, if that money could be better spend defending some vulnerable Republicans or defeating some vulnerable Democrats.

Massie represents his constitutents. There are a lot of people who are sick of forever wars. Fighting in the ME has brought us nothing but pain and of course taken away a lot of tax dollars.

But it isn’t a bad look for Massie to be vindictive first? Only a bad look for Trump?

>>”Thank you, I totally agree. Trump needs to stay out of it. Let Kentucky citizens sort things out. This makes him look vindictive and it’s a bad look.”

Massie’s trying to sabotage Trump’s agenda, and because of the narrow Republican majority, his efforts could succeed. Trump’s response to Massie’s efforts is the response of a winner. The days of Republicans like Mitt Romney, Mitch McConnell, etc. losing like gentlemen are over, thank God.

And this is not only about Massie. It sends a message to others that if you oppose Trump’s agenda (which millions of us voted for), he’ll make you pay a price. Trump’s “vindictiveness” is a very good look. It’s what has allowed him to transform the GOP from a party of losers to a party of winners.

Fer Chrissake, the BBB can’t move because the Senate leader won’t man up and toss out the Dem Parliamentarian and we’re supposed to get all worked up about some maverick s***kicker from Kentucky who won’t place nice. What about Murky? Gonna PAC her too? [I hope].

Well, tell Iran to stop murdering our businessman, troops, etc. and having it their official policy to eliminate the existence of our country and others. That would help. In other words...you can’t pretend we live in a world that doesn’t exist. The real one exists and has to be dealt with.

Stolen elections have consequences.

Trump’s in everything.

Damn right he looks vindictive..

This nation has FA since 2016 trying to get Trump.

And the R Swamp Team is about this close to getting it’s own obliteration and draining by the People in ways that can come if they continue to FA.

You don’t seem to understand Trump very well.

He does not “stay out” of things. He makes change happen.
