Outrageous! What the hell is the point of having rules if we can’t break them whenever we want to!
Just fire her.
So the President doesn’t get a line item veto but she does?
Congress doesn’t give a fig that the country is deeply in debt and has no desire to give priority to the citizens of this country.
Who is her husband ? - scrubbed / hiding ?
The American left...out at sea in a sinking boat and clinging to the anchor, while the media heaps praise on the deck furniture, cocktails, and music.
Grow a spine Thune.
From wikipedia:
“The role of the parliamentary staff is advisory, and the presiding officer or Senate may overrule the advice of the parliamentarian.”
Also:
“The Senate majority leader may also fire the parliamentarian, as occurred in 2001 during a dispute between parliamentarian Robert Dove and Majority Leader Trent Lott.[6]”
-flipping pages- I can’t seem to find the Senate parliamentarian’s authority defined in the Constitution. Somebody help me out?
Oh! how wrong you are. They are faithful to the Cloward-Piven tactics in breaking our country while appearing to be institutional custodians of our government systems, and as such give their actions a perverse legitimacy.
Write a separate bill and pass it. Or whine.
So if Harry Reid appointed her, she should be fired and a new one selected.
There isnt …. More posturing.
“So the President doesn’t get a line item veto but she does?”
THIS!
Wouldn’t a separate bill require 60 votes for cloture?
Apparently, she does….
Trump, Vance, and the House leadership need to lean on the Senate leadership.
John Thune is the Senate majority leader and he’s been that since January. Why has he allowed this woman - appointed by Democrats - to hold her position? I realize Thune is Mitch McConnell’s dog on a leash, but surely he’s capable of some semblance of manhood?
If that is true, and the presiding officer is the VP Vance, then let’s move the BBB on to the President for signing.
