PHOENIX – The man accused of killing an Arizona pastor in April reportedly admitted he’d been plotting a series of religiously motivated murders.
During a recent interview through a jail-issued electronic device with ABC15, Adam Sheafe confessed to crucifying 76-year-old New River Pastor William Schonemann and discussed his motivation.
“I just drove there like two in the morning, maybe, and parked,” Sheafe, 51, said during a segment aired by the Phoenix TV station last week. “And then I just went in there and did it.”
Adam Sheafe explains motive in death of New River pastor
Sheafe said he believed Christianity was wrong and he intended to kill and crucify over a dozen priests and pastors in multiple states for “leading the flock astray.”

How horrible.
This guy is possessed. Of course he believes in Christianity.
Satan knows his enemies are real.
Cain meet Ted bundy
The pastor was found dead in his home. There is no evidence at all that he was crucified. The article does not explain at all how the pastor was killed only that the Killer confessed. Weird story.
This is Still bad...
Execute him.
He said in an interview his mission was to rid the world of evil to save Israel. He’s carrying out Noahide Laws.
Christianity is a Noahide religion, according to Maimonides.
This guy is just an evil loon.
More proof the mental hospitals closed in the 1970s need to be reopened. When closed, and the crazies dumped on the streets, the mass murder rate took off like a rocket.
I used to live in New River and knew the pastor and his wife. This article didn’t mention it but Pastor Bill was found with his hands “pinned to the wall.” MCSO has been pretty quiet about details, other than to say is was a gruesome scene. My question: How did the killer pick the pastors he picked? Bill isn’t known nationally. There are hundreds of pastors just like him out there, working tirelessly in their communities. Makes me wonder if it wasn’t to set the whole Christian community on edge. This guy needs our prayers. Also, if there is one, are there others?
Thank you for the clarification. Not really a crucifixion, and probably his hands were pinned through the wall after he was already dead. But now I can see why the journalist would call it a crucifixion.
