If only the residents of SF could bring themselves to elect Democrats, then it would turn into a utopia.

People pooping on the streets in broad daylight could be a telltale sign of poor city management. Ya’ think?

I think with the fire fiasco LA should take the top spot from San Fran Crappo.

San Francisco scored much higher in two measures: It was second in health, potentially owing to the fact that the city has the lowest infant mortality rate.

Gee, What a Surprise!

If not too many people are becoming pregnant, not too many infants are dying.

The LGBTQWERTY, the Transnational Transvestites from Transylvania, the "regular" democRATS who cannot answer the question: What Is A Woman. They all combine to low infant.... everything.

I used to love spending the day I SF. That was back in the 60s and 70s. You couldn’t pay me enough to go there now.

Born and raised in SF, now living south on the SF Peninsula. I now avoid going into SF, except for medical reasons or visiting with relatives. Best parts ruined over the last 50 years, and now there are some new best parts but with problems like overcrowding and lack of parking, parking that comes with expensive fees if found.

The thing is that SF residents do much of their shopping south on the Peninsula outside the city limits. They don’t like shopping in their own stores, even big box places like Ikea, Costco, etc. - they would rather hit the same brand stores outside the city. All due to the rampant problems like drug addicts, vagrants, and thieves that the city’s Democrat leaders refuse to handle. Insanity.

Why stop with government owned grocery stores? What other government stores could be created to address social issues?

Reminds me of the story about a new 100 unit apartment being built in the Soviet Union. One toilet was broken in shipment and because of the Greatest Form of Government there was no method to replace the broken toilet. Seems the Greatest Form of Government never thought that something could get broken. So 99 usable apartments were built.

19,000 employees take home more than $150,000 per year.

In contrast, San Jose, a city of about the same population, has only 7,000 employees

Anyone with common sense can tell you how the Government run grocery stores will work out, they will be drab and unattractive, they will have fewer choices, they will have lower quality products, the employees won’t care about customer service, and they will get looted continually.

Go into any whole foods and you will see a bright, colorful store full of higher quality organic products with employees that for the most part provide quality customer service, it’s the same way for most large grocery chains.

Go into a Dollar General and you will find a darker, more crowded store with few choices, staffed with people who mostly are just stocking shelves.

Granted the two stores are going after different customer groups, government run grocery stores will make the Dollar General stores look like gold plated palaces with empty shelves, because everything has been looted or stolen by the employees.
