“A regime change operation, occupation and nation building is certain not in the nation interest. “
That is most definitely true.
Air power alone, given enough time, can eliminate the nuke threat. Nuke infrastructure is not portable and cannot be hidden from modern surveillance.
They did that with the Tea Party too. I think we are a lot wiser this time.
If you don’t trust your instincts, then your understanding of the world is deficient.
Ironic isn't it?
“Right, Presidentbl Trump is a Jacksonian”
He is.
And I am too.
Realpolitik.

I have an essential, real interest in ensuring that all my neighbors are completely disarmed. That doesn’t give me a legal or moral right to disarm them.
If a country as dysfunctional and hostile as Pakistan can have a nuclear arsenal, then just about any country in the world can.
I don't accept the premise of your question.
I don't believe that Iran is "weeks away" from having the bomb.
So the answer is ... no, we should not be attacking Iran.
We all have instincts (though not always, and not about everything).
However, we should always be guided by facts and reason.
So let Israel and Iran, and Russia and Ukraine, do all the lifting they want.
We need to focus on our open border, illegal immigrants, crime, economy, debts, cultural decay, etc.
“I don’t accept the premise of your question.”
I don’t understand what premise you’re rejecting, as the question has no predicate.
Does the US have an interest in ensuring Iran does not get the bomb?
Are you unable to answer that? It’s pretty simple.
“If a country as dysfunctional and hostile as Pakistan can have a nuclear arsenal”
Pakistan has never sworn our destruction.
As for your neighbors analogy, it has nothing to do with international relations.
It’s very reasonable to think Iran would want to assassinate Trump
We have not gotten into a prudent shooting conflict since 1945. Stumbling into Iran would be one of the bigger mistakes.
“The neocon fanatic Mark Levin went on a long screed Monday about what is “Real MAGA and Fake MAGA.” “Real MAGA” in his eyes means anyone who is for war for Israel first. “Fake MAGA” for him means conservatives who might dare to put their own country first.”
An apt description of Levin.
