In addition to the noise, they blow dust and dirt around. The neighbors had a landscaper who came early in the morning while the morning dew was still on the car. They blew the dirt and it would stick to the side of the car, and remain when the dew evaporated. That really irked me. They can vacuum up edging debris easily with a larger machine.

With all of the environmental protection laws on emissions, they don't apply to two cycle engines which require oil added to their gas and pollute more than a traditional engine which keeps the oil in a reservoir. We are at the point that batteries can replace these engines to reduce emissions, and that would be a good thing. I'm a libertarian with a small "L", but keeping the air clean is important.

Someone gets it! In many cases it is being used for harassment. My OCPD punk neighbor also uses a small snow blower for the added sand-blaster effect. It is a DAILY event. You would not believe how much gravel and gravel dust that thing will throw.

I finally caught him on camera. He was in my driveway standing next to my car sandblasting my van with that blower. He has a final warning on him now. The new sheriff is such a total piece of shit. He should already be in jail.

I’ve hired lawn care companies to do yard cleanup, and the predictable crew of non-english speaking workers show up with one english speaker running the show.
