There’s a huge difference in blowing up infrastructure and taking and holding ground, so it’s not a fair comparison.
Thankfully, all that is required in Iran is to blow up large, fixed, assets and kill targeted people.
No nation building needed. Although regime change — homegrown in Iran — would be great. We don’t need to steer it. Anything that comes in is unlikely to be worse.
El Al could fly Rabbis through Iran air space at this point.

Airdrop kippot!
This is a huge, and important distinction.
It is hard to decisively win a war without control of the airspace.
It is also hard for a regime to survive a war without control of its own airspace.
It can be done - but hard to survive with an intact infrastructure and manufacturing capability.
Yeah. Apples are still not oranges.
The point of the article is how not achieving air superiority leads to protracted ground warfare. Russia cannot even drop conventional bombs on Ukraine so it must grind through ground troops to kill Ukrainians.
Israel has now switched from expensive standoff longer range missiles to far cheaper and plentiful gravity devices, drones, and short range missiles.
If Russia had established air superiority the war would have ended at the outset. But as the WSJ says thanks to US warnings Ukraine was able to reposition and hide its air superiority weapons and force Russian aircraft out of Ukrainian airspace.
I would think with air superiority the IDF could drop in men and weapons to dismantle the underground nuke facility…..no?
Is the underground facility near a city?
We gave them bunker buster bombs, time to use them!
Bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran
I am not sure of their aerial refueling capabilities but even then, they have to return home to re-arm.
True superiority requires them to take and hold an airbase so that they can re-arm, refuel, and loiter at will.
On the 2nd day no less. Israel takes it military strategy from the U.S., not a Soviet satellite.
Russia is fighting a war against NATO (and winning it). Israel, with our help, is fighting third-rate military.

That is a dubious way to assert "winning."
Perhaps you meant it to be spelled: p – y – r – r – h – i – c
“”””Russia is fighting a war against NATO (and winning it).””””
You don’t think that if American and the rest of NATO armed forces and Air Forces joined the fight, things might look a little different than just Ukraine having to fight North Korea and Russia alone?
Russia sucks at coordinated air ground combat anybody paying attention for the last 3 years knows that. This further means they suck at modern warfare. Coupled with the threat of complete oblivion of they go nuclear. I bet they lose the war they could have won if they understood modern tactics which they don’t.
It’s air supremacy now, not mere air superiority.
Israel is God’s chosen nation, Russia is not. Simple explanation.
