Even Hillary said that they should pay a heavy fine, AND be put at the back of the line in their visa and asylum applications.

I can’t believe the left flipped him faster than they did Elon. Crap. MAGA’s balloon has been popped by freeloading foreign national illegal aliens.

Trumps changes are good ones, but they are happening too fast. Personally, I don’t think they are fas enough, but those writing the paychecks may not have planned for bigger paychecks or a different workforce. Many farmers and ranchers provide a bare cabin for the workers to live in a bunkhouse if you will, containg bare necessities, designed for several people to occupy. For hispanics, a bag of beans and a bag of rice is given for food. The workers have to supply the rest. This method doesn’t work for Americans. They want nicer homes and bigger wages. Time has to be given to farmers to make changes. When they sell this year’s cropsto payoff last year’s operating loans so they can borrow next year’s operating expenses. They have to plan in advance for what their business can and cannot do. Our farmers and ranchers would go broke, we all would suffer. I think Trump is still on a learning curve in some areas. That’s why I say he’s working too fast. There must be a net in place to catch the fallout.

One example is to go through the roledex and pull out all whoare here illegally and who have committed any crime at all..even parking tickets..be deported first along with the current plan to grab the free ride and $1K.

Then the next stage..maybee those who have made no significant efforts to obtain citizenship over a 10 year span of being here, and who are on any form of public assistance.

At the same time, only allow in those with professionals with fully self supporting capabilities during the time it takes to recieve the credentials to do their jobs here.

Just plan and do it in stages.

Sociology shows that when changes happen too quickly, hell breaks loose.

Not all farms in the U.S. are corporate farms.

If you hire illegals you are the scum of the earth.

Any farmer that hires illegals should have all of their land taken away.

“Why not Americans?”

Of course Americans, too. My point was that the left implies that ONLY ILLEGALS can do the job.

Heck, when I was 14 and could get a Work Permit, I spent months as a picker for a farmer in town. Raspberries, grapes, and strawberries. I still won’t eat strawberries, and the Communion grape juice is iffy in my stomach.

I’d rather just import food instead of importing cheap illegal labor.

The “farmers” in California hire illegals because they are bullied into it: Jerry Brown’s laws against farm automation and the street muscle of the UFW makes it nearly impossible to do anything else.

If you think farmers in California re the only ones that hire illegals, you're kidding yourself.

Elon was never "flipped" on the immigration issue.

The Silicon Valley elites have been pushing for cheap immigrant labor from the get-go, and Elon was no exception. Even when Musk was allied with MAGA, he was insisting on an expansion of H1B programs to provide him with more South Asian coders who'll work for a fraction of what Americans work for.

Agribusiness pushing for more illegal farm labor from Mexico is part of the same program.

There’s already a visa program for temporary farm and hospitality industry workers: H-2A and H-2B. Enforce it!

This is true. In Deep Red Texas, chamber of commerce types oppose deporting illegals or restricting guest worker programs because many TX businesses are addicted to cheap illegal workers. The fact that they happen to be Republicans who may be on our side on other issues doesn't make it any better.

I was working a farm in Iowa before I turned 14. The first vehicle I learned to drive was a tractor back in the 1970's.

At 63, I'm now routinely having skin cancer removed from my arms, neck, shoulders, face and head from so much sun exposure detassling corn for so many summers, and helping work a friends family farm. The scars on my arms, shoulders and neck from huge chunks of skin layers and layers deep are obvious.

Some kind of compromise is going to happen sooner or later.

Hope and pray and work so that it happens later, rather than sooner.

I was in cali 25 years ago.. school girls, and I mean ELEMENTARY SCHOOL GIRLS would be catcalled and harassed by the hispanics back then...

Can’t imagine what California is like now.

US used to have a temporary worker program where these folks would come up for the season and go home.. I don’t know if they still have it, but claiming we have to accept illegals of any sort is garbage.

This accept illegals is just nonsense, always has been, always will be.
