At the time Carter & Co's gift to evil was hatched, I was wrapping up my partially-wasted (!) post HS years at the credentialing mill. For the previous couple of years, I had had to endure a subset of Iranian asswipes on campus who were supposedly increasingly pissed off at the Shah and devout as hell (!!), whilst they had bought new Trans Ams, got regularly wasted at the bars and chased American genitalia.

As the number of days the hostages were held increased, so did the amount of screaming and fist-waving from some of these guys, while others just sort of vanished. By the time it was all over, I had become not so much an apolitical registered RINO as I was a Reaganite, and I had developed a sincere and lasting dislike of the "new" Iran.

Two generations of my family have never spent a day without Iranians threatening them insofar as they able able to so do.

Let me reassure the lefties in this country who are opposed to the actions taken by Israel against Iran: Don’t worry .....they were mostly peaceful air strikes.
