The cuts to the lowest-income households come from proposed cuts to social safety net programs including Medicaid and a food assistance program for lower-income people, known as Supplemental Nutrition and Assistance Program
what a pantload...so it's really not a reduced income...

The goal should be to keep increasing the level of income that you are not taxed.

“would cost the poorest Americans roughly $1,600 “
How would it “cost” them? They don’t pay any taxes. I’m sure they meant to say they get smaller handouts. Probably just an oversight. /s

The dishonesty in the AP’s headline is so blatant. By referring to it as a “GOP Tax Bill”, they’re hoping the casual reader will just assume that the “costs” to poor Americans come in the form of increased taxes on the poor rather cuts to wasteful and fraudulent spending in programs like Medicaid.

The Uniparty and RINO’s have been very good to the well-to-do in this Congress. For example, in the BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL the SALT cap raise to $40,000 is PERMANENT (as well as inflation adjusted yearly). On the other hand the Tip and Overtime tax deductions are LIMITED TO FOUR YEARS and then end. This limitation to only four years for the tips, overtime and the CHINTZY senior tax provisions was done to “fund” this DESPICABLE increase of blue state SALT deductions to $40,000 AND MAKE THE INCREASE PERMANENT AND WITH INFLATION INCREASES.
