If the crime happed ten months ago, why did it take until now to have the trial?
Justice delayed is justice denied. Ask anyone who was locked up for what he/she did on January 6, 2021.

Justice is routinely delayed. Ten months is not at all unheard of. Judges’ calendars are jam packed. I’m surprised it didn’t get “ACD”’d (Adjourned in Contemplation of Dismissal, on condition that that the accused keeeps his nose clean for six months or so). Jails are jam-packed, too.
