I just want to know the difference between a devastating nuke and one that is not.

I hope it turns out better than North Korea’s ship launchIf I had a mouthful of coffee it would now be on my keyboard.

Yes, this system appears to be reliant upon delivery by aircraft with effective stealth. I have read estimates that it would be fired from 10-15 miles away from the target, which sounds impractical against a modern air defense system absent stealth.

If it explodes on your bunker, it’s devastating.
If it explodes on that other guy’s bunker, 25 miles away, it’s merely annoying.

Here in North Idaho, that could be a solution for that pesky knappweed and cheat grass.

Wait, are there functional nuclear weapons that aren't devastating? Is there some sort of 'devastation index' to objectively measure this?
*Sigh* I guess we're starting to do the British tabloid thing where every headline has to be as lurid and sensational as possible. I'm surprised they didn't stuff the word "massive" in there too, maybe a 'deadly' for good measure. That seems to be the default for explosions or anything capable of generating them (seriously, when's the last time you saw a headline about an explosion that didn't call it 'massive' or 'huge'?)

A bunker busting nuke that could penetrate 150+ feet would be much cooler. It would collapse any and all Iranian underground nuclear facilities.
