As Republicans on Capitol Hill continue to work on a reconciliation bill and delivering on the extension of the 2019 Trump tax cuts (and preventing a massive tax hike), Democrats are fear mongering about so-called "cuts" to Medicaid. In typical fashion, they're getting some help from their friends in the media to push the narrative.
"The Medicaid portions of the GOP megabill would lead to 10.3 million people losing coverage under the health safety net program and 7.6 million people going uninsured, according to estimates from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office," POLITICO reports. "Republicans released the partial estimates Tuesday less than a half hour before the House Energy and Commerce Committee is scheduled to mark up its portion of the legislation central to enacting President Donald Trump’s agenda on taxes, the border and energy."
But there's a big piece of the story missing.
Republicans are working to kick millions of illegal aliens and ineligible individuals off of Medicaid, which Democrats are counting as "cuts." They're also trying to implement tougher work requirements.

Notable that this headline didn't note that the 7.6 million includes:

➡️ 4.8M able-bodied adults choosing not to work
➡️ 1.2M who are ineligible to receive Medicaid

During testimony on Capitol Hill this week, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. addressed the issue and hit back at Democrats spreading false information.

According to the House Budget Committee, the Congressional Budget Office "estimates that the Biden-Harris Administration’s open border agenda cost federal and state taxpayers more than $16.2 billion to provide Medicaid-funded emergency services to illegal aliens during the first three years of the Administration. This is a staggering increase of 124 percent compared to the same period under the Trump Administration."

Obama is very polished and effective at this.
Lying is standard Democrat standard operating procedure. Unfortunately they have also dumbed down out education system so much that at least 50 percent of the American people believe their lies since they are incapable of critical thinking.

Thats a LIE! It’s in no way nonpartisan.
And it sucks at it’s job. They are always never correct.
It’s almost like they know lying to their voters works.
The numbers are surprisingly hard to find.
One major reason is that Medicaid has a Federal component and state components. So if you go looking for Medicaid totals, you get a number that is not what Congress is dealing with.
A general number for GOP cuts proposed is $880B . . . Over Ten Years.
This is $80B/yr (if evenly divided) and that’s out of about $600B/yr. About 13%, a helluva lot less than the 40% numbers out there cut from low income housing.
The expiring 2017 tax cuts, if allowed to expire, would be $480B per year increase in tax revs. The tax on tips and social security stuff is over and above. That expiration alone would add $480B in revs.
So that $88B spending cut above on Medicaid is absolutely not coming close to offsetting that expiration. Who loses healthcare, what senior is booted from a nursing home, those are all unanswered. The Dems quoted numbers are likely wrong, but let’s not delude ourselves. After annual inflation this $88B just sits there year after year taking money from higher and higher requirements (people get payraises every year).
There are some categories of spending cuts that are forbidden, and frankly, that’s going to have to change. DoD is likely going to have to reduce. There is nowhere else to get money that can get the votes in the Senate.
These liberals in Congress and the Senate are giving us more ammunition for the primaries.
Children also get full dental coverage, guaranteed housing, full K-12 coverage, learning disabled coverage, transportation coverage, Food Stamps, and school meals.
Anyone who thinks that more than 10% of immigrants pay ALL their own family bills is badly mistaken.
Why is nobody talking about the Medicare/Medicaid dual eligibles who spent down to game the system...?

Beat me to it. First thing I thought when I read the title was “ Democrats never stop lying about everything.” To be a Democrat is to be an idiot or a liar or like the “squad” both with a hefty dose of malice added in.
Republicans are in charge. Maybe they need to hold a press conference and explain it on a first grade level. They are letting the democrats control the narrative.
