Father tells children: 'Mom went to have a baby, terrorists murdered her'

Tal Shahar Carmon, a friend of the late Tze’ela Gez, shared Thursday morning on Kan Reshet Bet the heartbreaking account of Hananel Gez’s conversation with his children following the murder of their mother in a terror attack near Bruchin.

“These were unbearably difficult moments,” she said. “Their father communicated it to them in an incredible way, allowing each child to respond in their own manner.”

“He told them that he and their mother were on their way to bring their new baby into the world, and that on the way, a terrorist shot at their mother. He explained that he tried to save her, and that they did everything they could — managing to save the baby, but not their mother.”

My wife is on a Whatsapp group that the father moderates. Here is what he wrote.

"Hi friends, a sad day today. Last night my wife was murdered. We were on our way to the hospital to happily deliver our fourth baby boy. Obviously I am very broken, naturally, but I am thankful to hashem that I survived and will be strong to carry on and be a light onto the entire world. Because we will never let them break us.

I am very sad but I will continue to fight for our people's well being.

I love you all.

We will survive and we will thrive and prosper.

Hashem is one.

Good and bad times.

It doesn't matter.

If it's from my one and only king, I accept it with love.

Call me crazy.
